What this checker can and cannot tell you
Age and everyday care needs indicate whether an assessment may be appropriate. They do not establish an entitlement to funding, a particular program, a budget or a start date. Income and assets can affect contributions, but this checker does not use them to exclude someone from an assessment.
In 2026, the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) still supports people with lower-level needs. Support at Home replaced Home Care Packages on 1 November 2025. My Aged Care determines which pathway applies following assessment.
