How services are delivered

In your home, or out in the world

Some supports only make sense at home: personal care, cleaning, nursing, meal preparation. Others are the opposite. The whole point of accompanied activities, group social support, transport and community access is to get someone out.

We do both, and we plan them together. Staying home is not the goal in itself; staying independent and connected is, and for most people that involves a life outside the front door as well as inside it.

Cultural and religious needs are operational, not optional

Gender-matched personal care, Arabic-speaking carers, halal shopping, adjusting a visit schedule around prayer times, and knowing what changes during Ramadan are part of the brief a carer receives before the first visit, not a preference noted somewhere and forgotten.

What we need to know to match you well

  • Language spoken at home
  • Whether personal care must be gender-matched
  • Religious observance that affects timing or conduct
  • Dietary requirements, including halal
  • Who else lives in the household
  • What a good week actually looks like
  • What has gone wrong with previous carers

Not sure what you need?

Most families do not arrive with a service list. They arrive with a situation. Tell us what is happening and we will work out which supports fit.

Areas we serve

Across Sydney, strongest in the south west and St George

Coverage is only meaningful if we can staff it consistently. Each area page covers what ageing there actually involves: the homes, the transport, the nearest hospital and what families ask us for most.

This is not a complete list of where we work. We deliver aged care across Sydney, so if your suburb is not shown here, get in touch and we will arrange suitable supports for you.

From first call to first visit

Four steps, and we do most of the work

You do not need a diagnosis, a plan number or the right words. Tell us what is happening and we will work out the rest with you.

  1. 1Talk to usCall, email or send a referral. We ask about the person, the household and what a good week looks like, not just which services you are funded for.
  2. 2Care planningWe review needs, budget and preferences together, and set out exactly which supports we would provide, on which days, at what cost.
  3. 3Matching your carerWe match a carer on language, gender preference, cultural fit and availability, then brief them properly on your household before the first visit.
  4. 4Services startSupport begins on the agreed schedule with the same carer wherever possible. We check in early, then keep checking in.
Send a referral Call 0405 789 515, email admin@amanahagedcare.com.au or use our referral page - whichever is easiest. We reply within one business day.
